Annan is Antisemitic

"I am shocked and deeply distressed by the apparently deliberate targeting by Israeli Defence Forces of a UN Observer post in southern Lebanon," Annan said about an Israeli Bomb that blew up a UN Observer post and killed four Military Observers from Austria, Canada, China, and Finland.

My question? Why does Kofi Annan think Israel targeted a UN Location. Israeli reports suggest that Hezbollah was operating in the area, and they continue to fight after the incident. More importantly why is the UN sitting waiting to die in a WAR? The post was near the Israeli Border. Why does Kofi Annan not do something useful instead of spread rumours and make judgement before all the facts are in! I think he has in the past and will continue to have a stone against Israel.

Why does the Left keep being Anti-Israel. I am a socialist and liberal, yet I support Israel!

1. Israel has more gay rights (I don't know of any other that have gay rights...) than any other nation in the Middle East including Partnership, Immigration and other benefits. 2. Israel has an extensive social network to help those who have immigrated into the country, or are out or work etc...
3. Israel has the most functioning Democracy in the Middle East since 1948!!
4. Israel has real rights for woman and do not imprison woman under the guise of religion.

Since Israel left Lebanon in 2000 it has been under constant attack with missiles and skirmishes. When Israel left Gaza last year there was a ceasefire with the Palestinians... yet over 500 missiles entered Israel including killing innocent people. The facts not reported by the media are several including these constant missiles that are targets at Israeli towns and urban centres! Israel has never had a desire to occupy Lebanon or Palestine... but since its creation in 1948 after WW2 and thru the UN it has been under constant attack from those that wish it gone. Unlike America & the Indians, when wealthy Jews left Germany before Hitler to their homeland they paid Arab's there fair and square for farmland. Israel is fighting to stop these constant attacks, they are fighting for their survival. In an area of the world where every other nation wants you gone is a tough place. I know, I lived in Israel for 3 years though i'm neither Jewish or Arab. Look for the facts people...
