Apple doesn't keep the doctor away!

I finally did it... I have installed Apple's OSX on my x86 based PC. Most of you visiting this blog will no doubt have Windows on an Intel x86 Platform. I'm sure you have heard of Mac or Apple... well they finally decided their platform PowerPC wasn't good enough and started selling x86 based Apples. I know you techies are screaming "Old News" and the fact is it is a bit old... but the point of this article is to make you scream (especially if you like Apple's OSX).

I have played around with OSX on an friends iMac before and iBook... I have never been overly impressed. It is visually nice, but difficult to learn (compared to switching to Linux instead) and certain part cling to the outdated past (and you were criticising Microsoft).

Microsoft has had to pay record fines for including IE and Windows Media Player by default in its OS. It has apperently abused its position in the market... LOL. Funny thing, is OSX comes with iTunes, Quicktime, and Safari by default yet no one is screaming. Seems a bit unfair. Yes, perhaps Microsoft did some shady things in the past (that I don't know of...) to get where its going. But in my honest opionion Windows XP (and certainly Vista) beats Apple's OSX on several levels.

People love to claim Apple is more stable or secure... You are right there is no Blue Screen of Death (as in Windows), there is a GREY screen of DEATH!! Yes, I installed OSX on my x86 computer not made by Apple... funny thing its not made by Microsoft either... So Windows has to work twice as hard because its adaptable, cheaper (considering hardware costs), and scalable. But don't poke at me... I really decided to do this test after a friend using official Apple Hardware had his computer crash while chatting to me on Gay.com! Vista Alpha (wish is way pre-release) was more stable than OSX on my computer... Yes it is not officialy supported but the point remains that Drivers (for your mouse, printer, sound card, video card, etc...) are the #1 reason Windows Crashes (and in fact my Sony Vaio with Windows XP never crashes, must be good drivers) and Apple doesn't have to deal with that... YET!!!
