Gay Banker has kindly interviewed me:

1)According to your myspace profile you're in a relationship, but apart from saying things like 'he makes me happy" in your poem, you never mention anything about your boyfriend in your blog. So how did you meet him, and what's he like?

I first started talking to my husband in 2001, when I had a profile on AOL Love (back in the day) and he contacted me on email. I was travelling alot that summer (Finland, London, Korea, China, and Norway where i stayed the winter into 2002) though we kept in touch. We first met in Pensacola, Florida on July 5th 2002 when Matt (my husband) was down from Atlanta visiting his parents in Seagrove, FL near Destin.

Since then, we visited each other alot, and i even alternated between a few months in London, UK (why I have .co.uk addresses, and also the fact I like british music and culture) and Atlanta, Georgia. I was a bit indecisive at that point, but eventually moved to Atlanta. It was a love that grew... something special I knew I would never get anywhere else. We have a connection, common goals, great sex, and a deep understanding. I swear everyday I love him more.

I moved to Norway in September 2004, and we got officially partnered there (residency was a requirement) on December 31st 2004. We now live in Destin, Florida for the time being, and are working on immigrating to Canada at the moment.

2)Imagine that you can play god and choose famous historical (or fictional) characters for the major roles in the US government (President, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of the Treasury, etc). Who do you choose, and why?

Ok, this one was hard.... I kinda changed the rules a little by allowing current figures in the roles... but you get the idea :)

President: Benjamin Franklin. “Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” I think that says it all... behind being an intelligent man that any country could only wish to have as their leader. I know he would change America to the Nation Of The Free!!

Vice President: Debbie Novotny (Queer As Folk US) She has the guts, and a is a true activist at heart. Though she can be crazy at times, I think the President can keep her in check. She will use every inch of power at her disposal to fight for justice in every corner!

Secretary of State: Ariel Sharron will fight for the people, yet be ready for an olive branch. He will be willing to make deep sacrifices to push forward a common goal for the people, and understands one for all and all for one. I think he will be the right man for the job!

Secretary of Defense: Jesus Christ (omg this is gonna so confuse people) because I think it would be so kewl to let Jesus speak for himself once, and use his messages instead of these war spread in the so called name of religion. I think all the Christians and Muslims would be way surprised by what the real Jesus had to say...

Secretary of Treasury: Kristin Halvorsen is the current Finance Minister in Norway. She is from the Socialist Left Party and is in the current coalition government. I agree with her on finances and socialist and social values. She wants 6 hours of work a day to be considered full time. Education First is the parties motto, and to strengthen the people to control their own destiny. She will make the US Budget work for the people and not for big business or politicians!

3)In spite of your poem which talks about "No one else for ... me, One and Only!", your gay.com profile says that you're in an open relationship. My readers are always interested in the salacious details so can you describe some of your activities outside of your relationship to keep them satisfied?

I wanted to first comment on your article What's the difference between a boyfriend and a fuckbuddy In America, where I think the term fuckbuddy was originated, buddy means a friend. Some people will greet by saying "Hey Bud" or "Hey Buddy," so actually the terms are very similar.

You love alot of people in your life... you sister, brother, mother, father, friends (buddies) but you only have one soul mate... I do beleive in fate and astrology. I think that is the difference between a boyfriend or my husband and any fun or other friends that I have. I may miss them if they die, but they don't complete me like my husband does. I dare say if my husband died, half of me would die with him.

But, i do like variety, and alot of things can spice up any relationship. Including a 3rd party for some excitement. A few weeks ago, I was meeting a prospective 3rd party alone (my husband was at work) and after we watched some Little Britain, we started getting a bit "feely" and moved things to the bedroom. It was a one off thing with him, never seen him again yet, not that I would be opposed to it. Sex is sex.... making deep love with a soulmate is quite different. I think I enjoy both, and they are very different but i do enjoy a quick one either with a hot random guy or a regular. But nobody completes me like my husband, and we have a trust and honesty that I think that is why recently we have been able to move our relationship to this level to enjoy the added variety and spice :)

Me and my husband will be traveling (geez, who would have thought) to Atlanta next weekend for Atlanta Pride and I'm sure we will mostly likely have a 3some or separate 1on1s. I have already discussed with one hot guy about matt filming us...

4)You describe yourself as a travelling geek, although it's not clear to me whether your travel is for business or pleasure. So what kind of places to you go to, and do you ever meet any interesting gay guys on your travels?

I've been travelling since I was a kid... I was born in South Korea by two Norwegians and haven't sat down ever since. So among living in Florida, Oklahoma, Georgia, Israel, South Korea, Norway, and the UK, I have had the pleasure of travelling in these countries/states and others. I enjoy viewing other cultures, and learning from them. But I think there is obviously more places to explore...

I do tend to meet gay people when I travel... especially when in Europe. Its fun to have a drink, go clubbing, or other activities. I've had my share of fun in the bedroom on my travels, where I have been travelling without my family since I was 16.

Most of my travels have been for pleasure, but who knows perhaps I should travel for business :P

5)And finally, you're 21 years old. What do you hope to achieve before you're 30?

I like this question... I do have goals that I want to see happen, among them purchasing an Island. I think I also wanna learn french fluently in this time. Its not a lot, but they are big goals that will take a lot of hard time and effort :)
