I have a few comments based on the Policies & Laws of the Norwegian Government. I am a Norwegian Citizen currently living abroad. I believe the SV & Labour Party has had a certain influence in the hypocrisy of the broader government views. I hope you can take the time to read and respond to my views and experiences in Norway.
I am currently partnered to a foreign national, and i'm currently 21 years old. Last year my same-sex partner was refused residence visa on the grounds that I was under 23 and my income could not be verified to be over the poverty levels. This went against the fact that my partner had transfered NOK 120000 to my account and that I had regular paychecks on monthly contract job. I believe this went against my human rights as a person, and went against the right of me to choose the person I love. I am currently living illegaly in his country as we wait for immigration to Canada. This is the only way we can stay together.
I would also like to bring up issues concerning Israel & the Arab world. I know your stance as a party is anti-Israel. I do not think anyone is confused by that, especially any Israeli as you suggest boycotting their products. I think to blame 100% Israel is ignoring the greater problems. For example. UN Resolution 181 which was a basis for solving the issue of both Jews & Arabs in the British Mandate. The Jews accepted the resolution which Norway voted yes for. However, the Arab world voted no to this and as a result invaded Israel causing Palestinians to flee (The Refugee Issue). In fact, those who did stay were granted Israeli Citizenship in accordance with UN Resolution 181. Haifa (which happens to be a city where arab supporters claim Israel forced Arabs to leave) was given to the Jews to Govern according to Resolution 181, obviously because of the high amount of Jews in the city. Nevertheless, I do not believe stories that Israel forced anyone to leave but where fighting a war for surival that had been forced upon them. Resolution 194 gave the framework for a ceasefire and new borders for the State of Israel. However, due to tensions and continued Terrorism and Skirmishes, Israel invaded the Arab World in the Six Day War in 1967. Resolution 242 was meant as a step towards peace after the Six Day War. Resolution 242 stated that Israel should withdraw from "territories occupied in the recent conflict" and for Acknowledgement of Soveriegnty from states in the Region. When Israel returned the Sinai, it in fact gave 91% of terrority back. This came with Egypt recognizing the State of Israel as per Resolution 242. Something that leaves out Syria & Golan. In regards to Gaza & Westbank, the Territories could not be returned to Egypt & Jordan as worldviews wish their independence and not a returnal of territories. The Soviet Delegate to the UN at the time of 242 worked to disclude all in front of Territories to insure this possibility. The Resolution does thus not request that ALL territories be returned. In a statement to the General Assembly October 15, 1968, the PLO, rejecting Resolution 242, said "the implementation of said resolution will lead to the loss of every hope for the establishment of peace and security in Palestine and the Middle East region." Thus the PLO was against the Resolution but now its life suddently depends on it.
Terrorists have decided to futher mar the situation ever since! They are not products of the occupation as you claim, but rather using the occupation as an excuse of Arab Hatred that existed long before Israel did. They do not want peace but rather to destroy Israel. This has been the goal since 1948 and the Arab-Israeli War. Iran, Hizbullah, and Hamas all swear by this hatred of Israel.
Yet you justify them. Was Hitler Desperate and "Occupied" when He Killed 6 Millions Jews. Why didn't the Desperate Black Slaves in the US resort to Terrorism (targeting of Civilians)? Desperation does not make you kill... hatred does. You justify Murder and you jusitify evading MY HUMAN RIGHTS.
We may not agree on these issues, and you may have points for arguement. My bigger point on the Israeli-Arab Issues is there are two sides and you ignore one side and become Anti-Semetic. I think both sides have done wrong... but its obvious to see who started the conflict. Israel's hand are tied by Terrorism and the Democratic Vote in Israel that puts Security at Number One. You wanto punish Israel for this. You do not punish Hamas or Hezbollah but rather wish to talk to them and give them money. I understand talking to all parties involved to stop the problems, but I truely do not think the Terrorists want peace because this would take away the excuses for their hatred. Everyone talks about going to pre1967, yet their was violence and terrorism pre1968.
I hope you do respond to both of the issues I have raised to you today. Beaware that I will post this letter on my blog, and I may post responces on my blog.

P.S. I voted for SV in Norwegian General Election in 2005. I should not have voted for SV. Today, I do not feel any Norwegian Party reflects my views, especailly in regard to Immigration & Israel.
