Conservatives: We Must Change!

David Cameron has releases his goals for the Conservative Party UK after being elected its leader. He said the Conservative Party must change to offer Britian the change it needs.

The Conservatives have failed people with its top down approach. Instead policies must help the least well off, not the rich! He also promised Economic Stability before Tax Cuts.

The Conservatives needs to be closer to the people and in touch.

I think the conservatives have woken up and smelled the roses! (no pun intended)

"We must think and act for the long term. Our challenge is to provide a serious alternative to Labour so we can offer Britain the change it needs.
"That means two things - first we ourselves have to change," David Cameron

Already the Conservative Party has said it was wrong over its stance against Homosexuals (especially in the 80's) and is working to change. Let us see where this go. Change is powerful, I think the Republic Party US could learn alot from David Cameron and the Conservative Party UK

Hope in Pride!

We will fight, We will win over discrimination where ever it is found!

Today, in regards to the Moscow Gay Pride Ban, the Mayor of London said:
"Equality must include the right to hold Gay Pride parades and other public events, which celebrate the contribution of the lesbian and gay communities to the life of the world's great cities."

The mayors of Berlin and Paris, which are both openly gay, issued their support for Gay Pride.

We celebrate the contributions of the Lesbian, Biseuxal, Trangender, and Gay Communities to society worldwide. Join us this June and Celebrate Pride!

Reap what you sow!

I've been following a story very closely. Its raised my interest when I first saw it. Its very sad, but thought provoking as well.

Violence or Destruction is always wrong. This post does not encourage it, but condemns its. This post does try to enter the mindset of the criminal and motive.

I'm sure many of you have heard about the Alabama Church Fires. As it stands now, 10 Alabama Baptists Churches have been burned. 5 White, and 5 Black. I think the first think I noticed, even last week was the message that the burnings were not racially motivated.
I have been following closely due the thought they could be done by an Anti-Christian Activist, or closely.

Now CNN, and others have reported: "'We think they're buddies, partners, an inseparable team,' he said." This according the FBI, reported by CNN http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/02/12/church.fires/index.html

I now have an idea that perhaps these 2 'inseparable' guys might be Gay and burning churches in revenge or hatred of Christians. I even have read some blogs (both by str8 and gay people) that perhaps these churches have reaped what they have sown.

In any case, its not for us to "punish" anyone. Its wrong, criminal, and serves the Gay Community NO GOOD.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

My Response

I will start by this quote from the BBC Have Your Say website. I think this really sums it up for me:

These protesters who are burning flags and buildings, and threatening the West with violence in the name of Islam, must feel really aggrieved at the insensitive cartoon equating their religion with Terrorism. The papers have really got this one wrong.

Phil Jones, Singapore

For those of you who didn't get the sarcasm, do reread. In fact, just last year there was the Jerry Springer opera. But we did not see violent protests by Christians, even though this opera did make a comedy out of them. I Islam an extremist religion? After all it does call to death those who do not follow it. Is it a peaceful religion than can coexist? Apparently not since we cannot even criticise it, but must follow the rules of a religion we do not even follow. (Not to much different from Christianity, except I will say that you guys don't promote violence and allow criticism)

Danish and Norwegian embassies have been burned across the middle east because of cartoons that displayed Muhammad as a terrorist. Diplomats are usually given the highest protection because they are needed even in wartime for discussions or peace talks.

I take these threats seriously, and understand that this religion is extremist and needs to be exterminated. It is never right to impose your religion or use your religion as excuse for violence or hatred. Appearently this hatred is imbosed in many religions.

For the record, Muslims regularly make fun of the Hindu Religion in India. This partly stems for the Kashmir dispute where violence has regularly been around due to Hindus and Muslims living in the same area.

Religion is deeply flawed. Religion that teaches only itself is correct flames extremism. Both Islam and Christianity encourage the death of Non-Beleivers should we take them as written in the Koran or Bible.

Iran had now decided it will "test" free speech by making cartoons about the Holocaust. This is quite different. As the holocaust was not about religion, but about the killing of a single race or racism. This is cruel, insensitive, and barbaric. But, I would expect nothing less from Iran.

Osama Bin Laden made Islam about terrorism on 9/11. Why? Because he gave Islam as a reason or excuse for killing 3000 innocent people. Today we have more muslims using Muhammed as an excuse to incite hatred and kill innocent danes that had no involvement in the publishing of these frank and honest cartoons.

These cartoons were published after a request for cartoons about Islam. It is a honest picture of what Islam represents to those who made the cartoons and helps us understand various view points. It is a fact that sometimes terrorism is equated with Islam, and this is something that Muslims must fight and not encourage. It is because violence has been used by muslims to achieve their goals accross the globe, not only on 9/11.

In fact, the Majority of Palestinains voted for TERRORISM in their last election. This only goes to further my point, that it isn't just a handful, but a large portion of Muslims that feel this way. These last few days do not help, but only hurt their cause.

Innocent and Ordinary Norwegians and Danes feel threatened. Norwegians have historically worked in leaps and bounds for the Muslims, and Palestinians. This will probably change. The damage done by Muslims in the past few days will scar their religion forever. It has only confirmed our worst fears, that they are indeed extremist and will not settle to peacefully coexist.

Five Reasons to Boycott:

Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Some say its all about the love, I disagree. I give you 5 reasons to boycott Valentine’s Day

1)You’ll lose weight! Without all the candy and chocolate you very may see your New Years Resolution come to pass for once!
2)Love is an everyday thing! Shouldn’t you say, “I Love You!” everyday?
3)Poor Labour makes your Flowers. Did you realize a lot of flowers are made in low standards in Africa? Several hundreds are injured needlessly because of low labour standards. Donate rather to a reputable charity! Make Love Count!
4)Single people hate Valentines. Need I say more? They are reminded of the loneliness. Remember, we’re all loved!
5)Millions of Gays & Lesbians are rejected the right to pronounce that love! Let us stand our Gay Brothers and Lesbian Sisters. Push for equality in marriage, Push for Hope. There are over 100 million Gays & Lesbians across the globe that need our support! Visit hope.gowafg.co.uk for more information!
